Each year Volunteers of America of Illinois hosts Operation Duffle Bag to gather donations for items many Veterans need, but do not have access to. 

In honor of Veteran's Day 2010, VOA of IL partnered with The Mission Continues to complete Operation Duffle Bag in less than two hours!

With the generosity of Goldman Sachs, volunteers were able to stuff 250 duffle bags with full sized items like shampoo, soap, lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, razors and shaving cream. Volunteers also included socks and underwear inside the bags.

VOA of IL is able to provide Veterans with these items throughout the year because of the donations made through Operation Duffle Bag. For more information on how your office or team can get involved, please contact info@voail.org.
