Urban Prep Academy for Young Men

During the Fall season, the Action Team collected toys to deliver during the holidays to families affected by domestic violence. The young men along with Mr. Lenore, Director of Athletics and Student Programs, did a fantastic job and were able to give gifts to children who may not have been as fortunate over the holiday season.

On May 3rd of 2011, the students will be tackling their largest project of the school year, "Operation Make Mom's Proud", a beautification project that will spruce up their school and surrounding neighborhood. The project will take place the week before Mother's Day and will give the students a chance to invite their own mothers, grandmothers and aunts to participate with them during this community event.

The Action Team is partnered with the Major League Baseball Players Trust and is excited to have a player from the Chicago White Sox participate in "Operation Make Mom's Proud"! Who will it be? You'll have to stop by to see!
